- 166 teens were killed in traffic crashes last year in Tennessee.
- 48,000 people are injured each year in vehicle crashes in work zones.
- The fine for speeding in a work zone is $500.
- Vehicular Homicide is a felony. The penalty is 3 to 15 years.
- Watch out for work zone crews. They are risking their lives to make Tennessee roads better.
- Drivers in work zones need to watch for signs, obey reduced speed limits, minimize distractions and leave extra space between vehicles.
